One of the very few good things that the COVID-19 virus pandemic has brought us is that, instead of politicians and pop stars, scientists and doctors have become interesting to the public. A person about whom nobody knew anything until recently, and now everyone listens to his every word with attention, is certainly Dr. Senad Begić, assistant director of the Institute for Public Health. Here is what is written in his official biography:
"Born in 1981. He completed his medical studies at the Medical Faculty of the University of Montenegro in Podgorica, and specialized in epidemiology at the Medical Faculty of the University of Belgrade.
He trained and acquired professional knowledge in Great Britain (London School for Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Imperial College), the United States of America (The Task Force for Global Health, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai), Portugal (Direção-Geral da Saúde) , Spain (Agencia Espanola de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios and Instituto de Salud Carlos III - ISCIII) where he obtained the diploma of field epidemiologist - FETP as part of the MediPIET program.
Engaged as a consultant in the field of immunizations and vaccine-preventable diseases for international health organizations and organizations dealing with children's health and rights in Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
He is the author of several professional and scientific works in the field of epidemiology of infectious diseases, immunizations and health-related behavior.
