The URA supports the efforts of the Chamber of Crafts of Montenegro sent in a letter to the Government, which aim to protect the economy through certain measures and enable the economic stability of the system, the party announced today.
The URA points out that in the previous period they proposed a series of measures and that some of them were more or less implemented through the decisions of the executive power, but also that some are still pending and are more than necessary for society in this situation.
"We think that situations like this at least need one-sidedness in decision-making, but that the best solutions for the future of all of us should be found in cooperation and consultation with all factors of public life. Specifically, as far as artisans are concerned, we absolutely support their demands for zero tolerance for the gray economy, the abolition of all parafiscal levies and hidden taxes, the reduction of indirect labor costs borne by employers to a maximum of 21% of the employee's gross salary, as well as systemic measures for the development of craftsmanship," they announced. from URA.
They also state that they support the request to postpone the financial obligations of citizens and the economy, because these obligations are not written off, but postponed until the measures are lifted and the market recovers.
"We especially welcome the Zanta Chamber's appeal that the Government should declare war on the coronavirus and not on the economy. The goal is to prevent infection, not profit. If one person per 10 square meters can stay in markets, why is this not possible in craft shops while respecting all protective measures. If the infection is controlled by hygiene, physical distance and protective equipment, we must not allow the entire economy to stay at home, because it will turn into - stay at home," the URA statement states.
From this party, they add that part of the measures of the Chamber of Crafts are compatible with the policy affirmed by the URA, and in this regard, they say, they support the efforts of the Chamber of Crafts to help artisans.
"We are of the opinion that the most important thing is that the measures are effective and that the best solutions are found in order to overcome this crisis with as few consequences as possible for any segment of society", they conclude in the announcement.
