The arrivals of guests to the "Simo Milošević" Institute and the Carine Iberostar hotel group, which were planned for June, have not yet been canceled, which is why the hoteliers hope for their realization.
The Institute is satisfied, because the arrival of patients from Norway and the Netherlands was only prolonged due to the coronavirus epidemic. Instead of April, the "Norwegian program" will be implemented from September, and the Dutch, if circumstances permit, should arrive in June, reports Boka News.
Two years ago, a new four-year state contract was concluded for the arrival of about a thousand Norwegians per year for treatment and rehabilitation, while the Dutch program is implemented in cooperation with the Fortuna agency, specialized in health tourism.
The owner of Carina Čedo Popović thinks that it would be valuable if their hotels had guests in July, August and September, because that way they would cover part of the costs.
He stated that last year, 200 nights were spent in three of their hotels on the Herzegovina Riviera, while they planned 300 for this one.
The Casa del Mare hotel group, which includes six buildings and two apartment complexes, is mainly occupied by individual guests.
The director of that hotel group, Nikola Milić, said that in mid-March they informed everyone who had reservations for a summer vacation that they could use their vouchers later, for which the guests were grateful.
Hungest Hotel San Resort and Hotel Lazure will not open their doors to tourists in April after the winter break. Their representatives announced that it is certain that there will be no tourists during May and June, until further notice.
The Director of Marketing of the Institute, Nikola Mračević, said that they are ready to receive first of all domestic guests, patients - beneficiaries of the health and pension disability insurance (PIO) funds, trade unions and other guests from Montenegro, because he thinks that, given the situation, they will and closed borders, the first to start arriving, followed by foreigners.
In addition to the newly created situation, the Institute retained all employees, as well as the Customs group. Even in the Casa del Mare hotel group, they did not fire permanent employees, and they fired the seasonal employees who came in early March with the belief that the pre-season would begin.
