The Ambassador of Serbia to Montenegro, Vladimir Božović, invited the citizens of the Republic of Serbia to come to Montenegro and Budva for their summer holidays in accordance with the recommendations of the health authorities of the two countries.
Today, Božović was on his first official working visit to the Municipality of Budva, and his host was Mayor Marko Carević. The Ambassador also met with the President of the Municipal Assembly, Krsto Radović.
"The municipality of Budva is of extremely important importance for the Republic of Serbia. We discussed specific issues through the cooperation of the embassy and the municipality. I want the best possible cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia, as two friendly and brotherly countries. To improve economic, economic, political, cultural cooperation, between the Republic of Serbia and the Municipality of Budva", said Božović and added that Budva's request is to facilitate the arrival of both the workforce from Serbia for the preparation of the season and the guests as soon as possible.
He said that the Embassy is in contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro about the relaxation of reciprocal measures.
"We propose that the owners of agricultural land on both sides of the border be exempted from these measures, as well as people who have permanent employment in one of the countries. Also, in agreement with the chambers of commerce and competent institutions, we will help to find a solution for hiring the workforce. Yes those people who come will not be subject to measures. We expect the Government of Serbia to adopt a package of measures that will also enable citizens of other countries, especially neighboring ones," Božović said.
He added that there is no common official EU position regarding the opening of borders,
"That is left to each country to decide. The Republic of Serbia has already agreed on a privileged, priority transition with Hungary, Bulgaria, we are in negotiations with BiH. I was given the task practically today to find maximum solutions with Montenegro, which will require respect for all epidemiological recommendations of the health authorities of both Montenegro and Serbia, and on the other hand we find solutions for people's specific problems," said Božović.
Emphasizing the unbreakable ties between Serbia and Montenegro, the mayor of Budva, Marko Carević, called on the governments of Serbia and Montenegro to find a common solution and the simplest possible model, making communication and movement of both seasonal workers and tourists as easy as possible.
"We invite all the citizens of the Republic of Serbia to come to the Montenegrin coast, where they traditionally come," said Tsarević, and that one of the problems that must be solved urgently are students who want to cooperate in Serbia, and to find an opportunity so that they can enroll.

The President of the Municipal Assembly, Krsto Radović, said that Serbian tourists are traditional guests, but also that a large number of Serbian citizens own real estate on our coast.
"The seasonal workforce is mostly from Serbia, so a model must be found to make it easier in the next ten to 15 days for them to come, in order to prepare the season. To show solidarity between the two countries when there is trouble and a problem, because we all well remember Serbia's help in reconstruction of Budva after the 1979 earthquake," said Radović.
Tsarević invited Vučić to visit the Serbian people in Grblje and Boka
Božović especially thanked the initiative of Tsarević for the invitation to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to come to Grbalj and Boka.
"Mayor Carević asked me to personally convey to President Vučić that when he is, and I hope it will be during my mandate, in an official, working, friendly visit to Montenegro to visit Grbalj and Boka. To continue in this way that way of respecting the people of Grblje and Boka Kotorska. I am almost certain that the President of Serbia will appreciate the friendly and fraternal invitation and include his visit to Grblje and Boka and in that way show respect for all members of the Serbian people, members of the Serbian Orthodox Church," said Božović .
