Due to the broadcast of the video of the controversial Croatian singer Marko Perković Thompson, who is known for using the Ustasha salute "Za dom spremni" at his concerts and in one of his biggest hits, the director general of RTCG Božidar Šundić punished the editor of the morning program Milica Babić, the editor of the controversial show Marija Razić and music editor of TVCG Slaven Knezović.
As announced on the RTCG portal, their personal income will be reduced by 20 percent in the next two months.
"Penalties are an act of responsibility towards entrusted duties and an integral part of functioning in RTCG. The editorial policy of RTCG was and will be the same, based on anti-fascist and European norms, because these are also the values in which RTCG was founded on November 27, 1944, when Our oldest media, Radio Montenegro, was founded in the war years," said Šundić.
Thompson's concerts in previous years have been banned or canceled due to public pressure in, among others, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Slovenia, where he has been described as a promoter of neo-Nazism and Ustasia.
