The holy service and the gathering of the faithful on the occasion of the feast of St. Basil of Ostrog took place in the best order, without incidents, misdemeanors and criminal acts, with the observance of temporary health measures, assessed the Council for Civil Control of Police Work.

That body stated that the police officers acted professionally and conscientiously.

"The council notes and welcomes, in this particular case, the excellent and reliable cooperation and partnership relationship between the Security Department (OB) of Danilovgrad and the brotherhood of the Ostrog monastery.

The Council announced that tonight the President of the Council Aleksandar Saša Zeković and member of that body Branislav Radulović will visit the Nikšić Security Center.

The Council announced that today Radulović officially visited OB Danilovgrad, accompanied the actions of police officers and checked compliance with human rights standards in connection with detention in police premises.

It is stated that Radulović was accompanied by Assistant Director of the Police Administration, Nikola Janjušević.

"The council stated that the conditions for the stay of detained persons have been significantly improved and at the level of the defined standards," the statement says.

It is recalled that during the last visit, at the beginning of April, the Council checked the premises for detention and concluded that it is necessary to urgently improve the conditions for the stay of detained persons.

It is stated that the head of the OB Marko Kalezić thanked the Council for the recommendations issued and the strong insistence that they be implemented without delay because the basic rights of citizens and the overall integrity of the police are protected.
