The National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases requested an urgent reaction from the Prosecutor's Office after today's rally in Nikšić, where a large number of citizens gathered, while the ban on public gatherings is in force.
"The combined efforts and achieved results of all institutions and citizens to preserve health and lives tonight were attempted in the most rude way to be collapsed by an illegal public gathering in Nikšić. The National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases calls on the State Prosecutor's Office and the Supreme State Prosecutor to urgently, immediately tonight, without without any delay or hesitation, take legal measures within their jurisdiction and prosecute the organizers of the illegal and highly epidemiologically risky public gathering. While the majority of citizens responsibly respect all measures, the organizers of the illegal public gathering in Nikšić put at the most direct risk what should be the most sacred to everyone - and it is the health and lives of all citizens and the recovery of the Montenegrin economy," the NKT announced.
The public, as they state, testifies that "this gross violation of the law was announced by the representatives of the Democratic Front."
"It is also a fact that the representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church did not comply with the agreement with the members of the NKT in charge of the medical and security aspects. The development of the epidemiological situation in Nikšić will be analyzed in the coming days with special attention. In accordance with the results that will be determined, appropriate epidemiological measures will be adopted," concluded is from NKT.
