The Montenegrin Electric Distribution System (CEDIS) has ceded an electric car for use by the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG), it was announced from that health institution.
Director of KCCG Jevto Eraković said that CEDIS helped on several occasions and with significant funds enabled better work of KCCG, and the health system in general.
"During the pandemic of the COVID 19 infection, we saw that the special focus of our entire society, not only in Montenegro, but also in the world, must also be directed towards health care and environmental protection," said Eraković.
As he stated, CEDIS recognized this.
"With this donation of an electric car to KCCG, it shows its social responsibility, its responsibility towards the health of our patients, and also towards the preservation of the environment", said Eraković.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of CEDIS, Miodrag Čanović, said that in this challenging time, the company has shown that it is a stable support for the economy and citizens, and that it also wanted to support the health system and health workers in this way.
He pointed out that the company immediately joined the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic due to its responsible attitude towards the community.
As Čanović stated, a responsible attitude towards the community is needed more than ever.
"That's why we immediately joined the fight against the pandemic and directly helped the competent institutions of the system that did everything to stop the epidemic in Montenegro and succeeded in doing so," said Čanović.
As he said, the way they managed the health crisis is the best example of social responsibility.
"Our plans for the future certainly include additional investments, in line with the company's operations. Our goal is to be a positive example and role model of socially responsible business by providing support to different segments, areas and categories and to improve the environment in which we operate", said Čanović.
He recalled that two years ago CEDIS actively got involved in the development of e-mobility.
"Today, we already have the first filling stations and electric vehicles, one of which we gave to KCCG for use," Čanović stated.
He pointed out that he will follow new trends in Europe and the world in order to apply them in Montenegro
He announced that they will try to encourage the development of green traffic.
"Our goal is to gradually introduce the "vehicle of the future" into our fleet. We are at the beginning, but we will learn from good examples in an effort to encourage the development of green traffic and contribute to the improvement of the quality of the environment", said Čanović.
