The projects that were implemented in Šavnik are the result of the joint work of the Government, local self-government and citizens, it was assessed during the working visit of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Milutin Simović, to that municipality.
As announced by the Ministry, Simović, after a working visit to Nikšić, where he opened the Prijespa waterworks and attended the opening of the modern Nikčević Polyclinic, also stayed in Šavnik.
He visited the newly built asphalted local road Krnja jela - Bare, which was reconstructed through the Program for the Development of Rural Areas, which the Government implements with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
"An agreement was made for new projects to improve rural infrastructure and the quality of life and work of citizens," says the announcement.
It is stated that Simović, together with the President of the Municipality Vlatko Vuković and the locals, shared their satisfaction with what was done.
Simović assessed that, when it comes to the local road in Bari, its asphalting is important for the residents of that area, but also for many others who will use it, especially livestock farmers who extend to Sinjajevina.
And on this project, as he said, the Government, Municipality and local people worked together, as well as the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Simović reminded that through this project, more than 35 kilometers (km) of traffic roads were asphalted last year at the level of Montenegro, emphasizing that the ambition is to have over 40 km asphalted this year, in the seven municipalities covered by the project.
"During the visit, the continuation of projects to solve the water supply was announced, with the support of the Ministry, which already today transferred EUR 55 for these purposes, with an additional EUR 75 through IFAD," the announcement says.
It is stated that another important project for Šavnik is the reconstruction of the student dormitory, which houses the students of the Secondary Agricultural School, and for the implementation of which an agreement was signed today.
According to Simović, through the IFAD project ten thousand EUR was provided for reconstruction, in order to provide students with decent conditions.
During his visit to Šavnik, and on the occasion of May 20 - World Bee Day, Simović also visited the young beekeeper Marko Ćirović from Boan.
