"Montenegro has successfully fought the coronavirus! There are no more sick people! This phase of the great struggle for the most sacred values - for human lives has been successfully completed. The state authorities and Montenegrin society as a whole have shown an enviable level of responsibility in facing this new challenge, and the health system organization, commitment and competence," wrote Đukanović on Twitter.
All state institutions, starting from the Government, the Police Administration, the Army of Montenegro, and ending with local administrations, inspection and communal services, have shown very serious progress in terms of functionality, as well as exceptional sacrifice, courage and responsibility, added the president of the country.
"Indispensable volunteers, led by the Red Cross of Montenegro, and generous donors, numerous domestic, and it is important to emphasize, very renowned foreign friends and investors. All this is a reason for satisfaction and sincere and deep gratitude. Now we must be equally responsible and determined to remedy the social and economic consequences of the pandemic," Đukanović concluded.
