Metropolitan Amfilohije of the Montenegrin Coast announced today that with the permission and consent of the current Montenegrin authorities, Hasim Thaci became an honorary citizen of Ulcinj.
Amfilohije called the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, one of the greatest terrorists of the modern world.
"That and such a government, which supports terrorism and terrorists, is demolishing the shrines at this moment, the shrine of St. Basil of Ostrog, the apostle of peace and love, who constantly calls all people and all nations around his holy relics. And all of them are incorporated into his shrines on in these areas and everyone is installed in that restored shrine of his on Briska gora near Ulcinj. May God grant that this government either be healed of that wicked and poisonous seed or may Saint Vasilije remove it so that it does not contaminate this nation with evil, hatred, fratricide and blasphemy ", said Amfilohije in the Ostrog monastery, as announced by the Metropolitanate of Montenegrin Littoral (MCP).
He said that for 350 years Saint Vasilije was and remained a living witness of God's truth and a healer of lies and deception, of false knowledge and false teachings.
"He is especially so now, at this moment when the authorities of this country are demolishing the monastery of Saint Basil on Briska gora near Ulcinj, which was recently established, when Saint Basil builds human souls and restores them, everywhere in the world, including here. And when he calls on brotherly love and harmony to all, regardless of whether they are Orthodox or non-Orthodox, at that moment this crime of the current government happened, an unprecedented crime," said the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral.
This morning, construction machines demolished the begun monastery lodge on Briska gora near Ulcinj.
Amfilohije added that it was not only a crime against that church and that monastery.
"This desecrates the life of Saint Vasilij Ostroski and builds the future of Montenegro and its community on hatred against Saint Vasilij Ostroski. The government of Montenegro is deprived of the blessing of Saint Vasilij Ostroski. They started with this crime when they arrested our Bishop Joaniki and the priests in Nikšić and they continue this crime against the people, a crime against Montenegro, a crime against Saint Vasilij Ostroški, depriving themselves and Montenegro of his blessing," he said.
Amphilochius said that with this act the government receives the curse of Saint Basil.
He also said that the Turks tried to destroy this shrine during the time of Duke Mirko Petrović.
"This is still happening today with the relics of Saint Basil and with the shrine of Saint Basil. The same thing that happened later, when this shrine was ravaged and destroyed, is still happening today. The same thing that happened during the Second World War, when here, from the hand of a fratricide, fraternal blood poured over the life of Saint Vasilij. This is happening to this day, thanks to the behavior of this government, which is anti-God, which is building the future of Montenegro on lies, not on the truth," emphasized Amfilohije.
He said that they forget that, according to the words of Saint Peter of Cetinje, in the name of God is judgment and justice.
"Saint Vasilije, we only have hope in you. We had, and we still have, that you will reason with the fools, the foolish government of Montenegro, which at this moment is desecrating your holy life, that you will reason with them if there is a possibility for them to be reasoned with. They worship false idols , false deities, denying the God of love, love for God and love for neighbors," said the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral.
He also said that "those fools and unfortunates, and traitors of Montenegro, are building the future of Montenegro on the destruction of that love."
"Can the future of Montenegro be built on trampling on the relics of Saint Vasilij Ostroski and on trampling on his vows, on trampling and on the destruction of his sanctuaries? Nothing in Montenegro has been built in that way until now. Neither will this. And this will fail. and that government is like that. It is not to survive but to perish. And to perish everything that is unhealthy, that is impure, that is polluted with hatred. And that the spirit of Saint Basil, the spirit of Saint Peter of Cetinje, the spirit of God's love, brotherly love, and fellowship is truly and truly progressing," said Amfilohije.
