The Council for Citizen Control of Police Work dismissed Aleksandar Saša Zeković from the position of president of that body and appointed a member of the Council in front of the Bar Association, Zoran Čelebić.
The Council stated that Zeković was dismissed at his personal request.
At the session of the Council, the address of the association "Parents" was considered, which asked that body to check the information from the media regarding the throwing of tear gas into the hall in Budva where the training of children was held.
"The appeal of that non-governmental organization (NGO) was submitted to the Police Directorate for a statement, and the Council gained insight into the official documentation of the Budva Security Center, which includes the collected minutes of notifications collected from citizens," says the announcement.
It is added that the case was also discussed at a session in the presence of the Minister of Internal Affairs Mevludin Nuhodžić and representatives of civil society, where it was requested that the Police Directorate additionally and publicly announce itself regarding the request of the mentioned NGO, which was done.
