On the last day of last year, the municipality of Tivat had a total of 11.074.055 euros in long-term liabilities based on loans taken through the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro from the German bank KfW for the implementation of the program of construction and improvement of the water supply and sewerage infrastructure in that city.
In this way, in the last seven years, the city of Tivat withdrew three tranches of these loans for the so-called phases II, V and V-2 of the water supply and wastewater disposal project.
Of that, a little over three million euros were returned by the end of last year, so the outstanding credit obligations of the people of Tiv to the German bank as of December 31, 2020, amounted to a total of 8.022.810 euros.
It is interesting that last year the Municipality of Tivat used a total of 1.190.748 euros of its previously paid money for the purchase of fire engines through the program of the Government of Montenegro, which, according to the decision of the Government, was returned to it by the Ministry of Finance, in order to "offset" part of its obligations. according to that Ministry on the basis of a loan from KfW Bank for water supply and sewerage.
The Ministry of Finance still needs to return almost 192 thousand euros to the Municipality based on the arrangement for the purchase of fire trucks, and this money, as announced, will also be compensated this year for part of the credit obligations of the local administration of Tivat that are due for collection at KfW Bank for loans taken for water supply and sewerage
