Officials of the Municipal Police and the Directorate for Inspection Affairs of the Municipality of Tivat visited a large number of locations in Tivat today and intensively controlled the implementation of the recommendations and measures of the National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases (NCD), with the aim of preventing the spread of the coronavirus, announced the Municipality of Tivat. .
"The control was carried out at the following locations: in all bakeries, shops and catering facilities, on the stretch from Gradiošnica to Lepetan. On the main city promenade of Pine, all facilities were controlled, and queues in front of facilities, i.e. spontaneous public gatherings, were also subject to control." it is emphasized in the announcement of the Municipality of Tivat.
The announcement adds that the officers of the Communal Police and the Directorate for Inspection Affairs visited all public areas with an emphasis on children's playgrounds and parks.
"The control of frequent places such as the green market, the area in front of the building of the Post Office of Montenegro and in front of the regional unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Tivat," the announcement reads.
Director of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs Jovica Stojković said that with the entry into force of the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases, the Directorate for Inspection Affairs of the Municipality of Tivat received the authorizations according to which it will impose measures on those who do not comply with the NKT measures, i.e. sanctions provided for in this Law.
"These sanctions are of a monetary nature and are very high, so we warn all citizens, users of services, as well as legal and responsible persons, to comply with all measures, in order to jointly preserve the health and life of our citizens, and in order to save ourselves from high monetary penalties punishment," Stojković stressed.
The Municipality of Tivat said that the increased control carried out by these two municipal bodies is the result of the conclusions of the Municipal Rescue Team, which has met twice since the first case of coronavirus infection in Tivat.
"For non-compliance with the measures, fines from 2.000 to 20.000 euros can be imposed for legal entities, or from 350 to 6.000 euros for entrepreneurs, as well as from 100 to 2.000 euros for natural persons," concludes the announcement of the Municipality of Tivat.
