The assistant director of the Health Center in Berane, Dejan Ćorac, supported the July 13 celebration organized by the Youth Council of the Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in that city, thus giving legitimacy to non-compliance with the current measures against the spread of the new coronavirus.
Ćorac, who was elected vice-president of the DPS Municipal Board in Berane at the beginning of June, published a message of support and congratulations to young party colleagues on the Facebook social network, who organized the Statehood Day celebration in Jasikovac, disregarding physical distancing and the ban on gatherings.
"Bravo for the Berane DPS Youth Council! That Montenegro is eternal!", Ćorac wrote on Facebook.
The health center in Berane did not respond to the questions of "Vijesti" about the behavior of a colleague and the assistant director of that health facility.
Senad Begić, a member of that body and assistant director of the Institute for Public Health (IJZ), announced his opinion on similar gatherings yesterday during the conference of the National Authority for Combating Infectious Diseases (NKT).
When asked whether the NKT measures were violated by organizing torchlights in several locations on National Day on July 13, Begić said that they consider any mass gathering a risk: "There is absolutely no difference, neither in the organization, nor in the reason, nor in the method of implementation." . Some things we need to forget, postpone, to get used to the new world in which the coronavirus dominates. All mass gatherings - not that they are not necessary, but they are dangerous", he said.
Another 78 positive, 1.522 active cases
Until yesterday, IJZ laboratories completed the PCR analysis of another 375 samples for the new coronavirus, among which 78 results were positive.
Of these, the most new positive cases were registered in Podgorica - 48, followed by Nikšić with 11, seven more new cases were registered in Herceg Novi, three in Plejvlja, two each in Kotor, Berane and Bar. One new case was registered in Bijelo Polje, Cetinje and Rožaje.
Yesterday, Begić said that no new cases of death have been reported to the IJZ since the last report and reminded that since the beginning of June, 19 people have died from covid-16 in Montenegro.
The recovery was confirmed in nine more cases, so the total number of those recovered increased to 42.
"Taking into account the deceased and those who have recovered, the number of active patients with covid-19 in Montenegro is currently 1.522. Most of the new patients are contacts of previously registered cases", said the IJZ.
The total number of PCR tests conducted in Montenegro, including analyzes conducted in Germany, is 27.742.
Several health workers of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the Clinical Center in Podgorica have tested positive for the new coronavirus and have been in self-isolation for several days and have been referred for home treatment.
This was confirmed yesterday at the conference by the director of the KC Internal Clinic and member of the Crisis Medical Team, Sreten Kavarić.
"They are in good general condition, none of them have been hospitalized and they are in home conditions, both they and their family members", he said, adding that the care of the newborn babies was undertaken by nurses from other organizational units, i.e. the Institute of Diseases children. Kavarić also said that 121 patients are currently hospitalized, of which 29 are in the Clinical Center.
Vuković: The closing day of Podgorica is not far away
Observed according to the total number, the most infected are in Podgorica - 595. Mayor Ivan Vuković and a member of the NKT told his fellow citizens yesterday to respect the measures, in order to suppress the spread of the coronavirus.
"If this trend continues, the day is not far when we will have to close Podgorica, to return to the regime of a few months ago, closing restaurants, shops, stopping intercity traffic, restricting movement..." Vuković said in a video address. to the public.
Due to the significant increase in the number of new cases of coronavirus infection in Podgorica, the NKT called for greater responsibility and compliance with the measures - without exception, the day before, after the session held.
After Podgorica, there are the most active cases in Rožaje - 221, followed by Bijelo Polje with 152, Berane - 81, Nikšić 72, 64 active cases in Budva, 59 in Pljevlja, 56 in Cetinje, 55 in Bar, 52 in Kotor, 29 in Tivat, 28 in Herceg Novi. , Ulcinja 18, Gusinja 17, Petnjici 11. There are nine active cases in Danilovgrad, one each in Andrijevica, Tuzim and Žabljak.
The municipalities that are currently without active cases are Kolašin, Mojkovac, Plav, Plužine and Šavnik, but the IJZ reminds that the cases are reported according to the referral health facility, not according to the municipality of residence, so the data is subject to change.
Self-release and quarantine for 21 days
Persons with confirmed coronavirus infection, as well as their contacts, will now have to spend 21 days in self-isolation.
That was decided last night by the NKT, at the suggestion of the IJZ.
"The 21-day measure is imposed on persons who have been or are suspected of having been in contact with persons suffering from the new coronavirus or with persons who are suspected to be suffering from this disease. Until recovery, and at least 21 days for persons who have a positive result of the PCR test for the new coronavirus, have mild symptoms or are without symptoms of the disease. The measures are determined on the basis of the decision of the Sanitary Inspection, in accordance with the Protocol for dealing with patients and contacts of covid-19 patients of the IJZ", says the NKT announcement.
The measure of institutional isolation in concealment of 21 since the diagnosis of the disease is determined for persons who have received hospital treatment, meet the criteria for recovery and have a negative test result before the expiration of the period of three weeks from the confirmation of the infection...
"Exceptionally, self-isolation measures can be imposed on these persons, if there are conditions for placement in self-isolation. "Self-isolation means staying in a family accommodation or other facility with movement restriction and monitoring the health status of the person to whom self-isolation has been determined, as well as all members of his joint family household," the NKT announced.
They explain that institutional isolation is accommodation in a facility intended for self-isolation and stay of persons who have a positive test result for the new coronavirus and have no symptoms of the disease, do not require medical treatment but must be under the supervision of health workers, based on the decision of the Sanitary Inspection.
They reiterate that the mandatory quarantine or self-isolation measure is in force for Montenegrin citizens and residents of Montenegro who come from countries with which international passenger traffic is not allowed.
