Jelena Vukašinović from the Center for the Protection and Study of Birds (CZIP) announced today that in the morning program of the Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) she was prevented from mentioning the journalist of Television Vijesti Aleksandra Mudreš, who was one of the main actors in CZIP video "Let's save forests for future generations", just because he works in Vijesti.
"As someone who graduated from journalism and who entered this story very naively - believing that every code of ethics must be respected, this morning I was denied for the umpteenth time. And what's worst, by my colleagues. Namely, I was a guest in the morning program of RTCG in order to present a video for forests in front of CZIP. Part of the campaign were personalities who are known to the public of Montenegro. As befits, but also as I personally felt, to publicly thank all the people on behalf of my team for contribution, I was prevented from mentioning Aleksandar Mudreš in the program, who is among the main actors in the video, only because she works in Vijesti. Disappointed, because collegiality towards people in the same profession is not on the horizon. The policy of a media company should be based on objectivity, impartiality, honesty, respect for their profession, and not on the politics they decided to dictate themselves," wrote Vukašinović on Facebook.
RTCG removed Mudreša from the CZIP video.
