Two patients infected with the coronavirus have died

Two patients infected with the coronavirus died in Montenegro this morning, one patient died in the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG), and the other in the Intensive Care Unit of the General Hospital in Bar.

These data were announced in the morning program of the Television of Montenegro (TVCG) by the Assistant Director of the Croatian Television of Montenegro Nemanja Radojević and the Director of the General Hospital in Bar, Dragoslav Tomanović.

Announcing the data for KCCG, Radojević said that 24 patients were hospitalized in the largest health institution in Montenegro, and 16 of them were in the Infectious Diseases Clinic.

"They are in a stable state of health. Seven patients are at the Internal Medicine Clinic, of which three are on mechanical breathing support. One patient, unfortunately, died in the early hours of the morning at KCCG. One child was also hospitalized at the Institute for Children's Diseases, but that it wasn't because of covid itself, but the child had a surgical problem, so during the admission it was diagnosed that he was positive for the corona virus," explained Radojević.

The director of the Bar General Hospital, Dragoslav Tomanović, announced that one patient infected with the coronavirus died this morning in that health facility.

He announced in the morning program of the Television of Montenegro (TVCG) that all hospitalized Covid-positive patients have a medium-severe clinical picture.

"Five patients are under observation, we are waiting for the results. All those hospitalized have a medium-severe clinical picture, which means they have bilateral inflammation in the lungs. Unfortunately, one patient died in the Intensive Care Unit. He was on a ventilator and had a very severe clinical picture with early pulmonary comorbidities," said Tomanović.

One patient, he said, was transferred from the Intensive Care Unit to the Infectious Diseases Department yesterday.

According to Tomanović, the work of the hospital is divided into two hospitals - work with covid and other patients.

"Surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, radiology and other services are working smoothly, of course with reduced intensity," Tomanović told TVCG.

The general hospital in Bar is also a covid center for the coast.

According to Tomanović, there are 80 patients being treated at that health facility, of which 35 are covid-positive.

The Covid center, as he said, has 105 beds, and in case of worsening of the epidemiological situation, the capacity will be increased to 130 beds.

Therefore, he appeals to respect the measures and recommendations of the National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases (NKT).
