Three separate minor environmental incidents occurred in the water area of the Tivat Bay with the spill of fuel, oily liquids and chemicals into the sea.
First, a small amount of fuel was spilled into the sea during the refueling of a motor yacht on jetty V Porto Montenegro, where there is a fueling station for yachts in that marina.
The incident was immediately reported to the Navigation Safety Inspection in Kotor by the Porto Montenegro marina itself, whose team acted immediately and cleaned up the spilled diesel fuel from the sea with technical means.
By the way, it did not spill over into the wider water area because when refueling, yachts are secured here by installing a floating dam.
Then, at the request of the citizens, the navigation safety inspectors recorded the incident with the spilling of an unknown amount of detergent, which caused stains and foam in the sea below the city's Pine waterfront.
It was established that the pollutant entered the sea from the land, through the Rosino stream, which flows into the sea near the Port Authority building on Pini, so the further investigation of this case was left to the Municipal Inspection and the Municipal Police of the Municipality of Tivat.
In the afternoon, a case of an unspecified amount of fuel or oily water being spilled into the sea near the Bazdanj pier on the Đurašević Coast in Krtoli was reported to the Navigation Safety Inspection, that is, to the Administration of Abyssal Safety and Management of the Ports of Crme Gora.
Locals there saw an oily stain spreading around several technical and excursion boats that have been tied up at this pier for a long time, and they also filmed one of the workers from those ships going around the water area with a boat, trying to break up the oily stain and pouring over it with with a chemical agent. The investigation into that incident is ongoing.
