The Merck company donated to the Mojkovac Health Center a sectorial probe, worth ten thousand euros, which will be used in the X-ray cabinet for cardiologist services, and which will contribute to the health care of citizens in that city, the PR Center announced.
The Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Nikola Antović, assessed that the Merck company, by donating to the Mojkovac Health Center, showed humanity and respect for health workers, as well as for that health institution.
"This kind of help from our friends and partners is of inestimable importance and gives us the strength to face new challenges and to fight together against the biggest temptations and protect our citizens, while providing them with timely and high-quality healthcare. "I believe that this is just one more in a series of donations and partner support from the Merck company, because they have done it before, and I believe they will do it in the future in our health system," said Antović.
As he said, in the coming period, the Ministry of Health will try to strengthen the primary and secondary level of health care by investing in the capacities of health institutions in the north.
"We will invest 220 euros in the Mojkovac Health Center through the current new cycle within the Energy Efficiency project, and we will start the works soon. In this way, we will further strengthen our health system both at the primary level and beyond. The government did this not only for the primary level, but for the entire health system," Antović said.
The President of the Municipality of Mojkovac, Ranko Mišnić, thanked the Merck company for the valuable donation, assessing that it will contribute to better health care for the citizens of Mojkovac.
"At a time when the pandemic caused a commotion on the entire planet, these kind of humane gestures restore faith in people and faith in everything that happens in the health system," Mišnić said.
The representative of the Merck company, Ina Bulat, said that the company has been dedicated to improving people's lives for 350 years, through the availability of therapies that help them improve their health.
"Today is a very important day, because we gathered to communicate the donation that the Merck company intended for the Mojkovac Health Center. This is very important, because it promotes the availability of therapies, not only in large clinical centers, but also in every health center," Bulat pointed out.
She reminded that this is one of a series of activities that they have carried out, announcing that the company Merck plans to support the health system of Montenegro in the future, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
The director of the Mojkovac Health Center, Ikonija Minić, explained that the sector probe will serve in the X-ray cabinet, as an upgrade for the ultrasound machine with abdominal and linear probe, which the health institution received from the Health Insurance Fund, in accordance with the plan of the Ministry of Health.
"Now we are getting a sector probe, which will serve us as a tool for cardiologist services. This means that we will have ultrasound examinations of the heart by a cardiologist, which we will arrange in our Health Center, which is considered to be one of the better organized health institutions at the primary level in the north of Montenegro," said Minic.
