Today, environmental activists of the NGO Network of the North, following the rules of the NKT, organized a protest in front of the Bijelo Polje Municipality building, protesting the killing of a roe deer two days ago in Kosanica near Pljevlja.
The reason for the protest was the visit of the management of the non-governmental organization "Hunting Association of Montenegro" to the municipality of Bijelo Polje and the passing of a hunting test for thirty new hunters.
The delegation of the NGO "Hunting Association of Montenegro", led by President Nikola Marković, was received and hosted by the President of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, Petar Smolović, who promised them financial support for the construction of a hunting lodge and the construction of a shooting range.
The protest was organized in such a way that the activists, dressed in white blood-stained suits, carried photos of killed deer on which were written the messages: "Killer names" and "How far are the killers?" .
Outside the Municipality building, they whistled and thus drew the attention of the citizens, sang the song "Come out little one, come out at least for class", shouted the slogans: "You are creating future killers", "We are waiting for you to explain to us what you are doing" and despite the rain that started to fall activists remained waiting for the exit of the hunters from the Municipality building.
