Old-age benefits in agriculture were increased by 13,16%, from 64,41 to 72,89 euros, in accordance with the latest amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Act, which increased the amount of the minimum pension, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced.
"According to the Law on Agriculture and Rural Development, the amount of the old-age allowance is set at 50% of the lowest pension. This increase is applied retroactively from January 1, 2020. So, in addition to the August allowance, beneficiaries will also be paid the difference for the previous seven months. 3.314 old-age allowance beneficiaries will receive an August check in the amount of 132,25 euros," the announcement states.
They added that, as part of the Government's special program of support for agriculture, beneficiaries of old-age benefits were paid an extraordinary benefit in addition to the April one.
