Mijo Martinović, a member of the Main Board (GO) of Democratic Montenegro and a candidate for deputy of the "Peace is our Nation" coalition, donated 1.000 euros to the Islamic community in Pljevlja to repair the damage caused by unknown vandals to property, it was announced today from Democratic Montenegro.
Martinović condemned the act of vandalism and pointed out that it was a classic execution of Udba and the outgoing regime.
"It is clear whose work this is and who benefits from raising tensions. For 30 years as a government, they have generated divisions, discord and hatred, and now, when they have been removed, they are again fueling what they ruled for 30 years, which is the citizens of Montenegro Gore, of all religions and nations, have fully seen through and despised," Martinović pointed out.
He added that multi-ethnic and multi-confessional harmony is something that must be nurtured and raised to an even higher level in Montenegro because it is under increasing attack from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
"We will build a Montenegro in which there will be room for all citizens, in which we will not divide and fight, and in which, in the end, it will not matter what religion or nation someone is, but only what kind of person he is. We will build Montenegro so that all of us, regardless of our peculiarities, lived happily and with dignity in it. My brothers are Serbs, Bosniaks, Muslims, Albanians, Roma, and all citizens of Montenegro who wish good for our country and the generations to come." Martinovic said.
