The current manager of "Montefarm" Radoman Dragaš applied again for the director of that pharmacy institution, and two more candidates applied for that position.
According to the unofficial information of "Vijesti", the candidates are Atina Vuksanović, an authorized internal auditor at "Montefarm" and Goran Batrićević, a specialist in general and vascular surgery.
Minister of Health Kenan Hrapović will soon appoint the director of this institution for a period of four years.
The competition for the director of "Montefarm" was announced on August 26 and was open until the end of last week.
The requirements for the manager are that he is a graduate pharmacist, doctor of medicine, graduate economist or lawyer, with five years of work experience. The director's monthly salary, as written in the competition, amounts to 950 euros.
A few days after the parliamentary elections, the mandates of the majority of directors of health centers and general hospitals were extended for another four years, without conducting a public competition.
At the beginning of September, the Minister of Health Hrapović (Social Democrats) chose as directors the heads of institutions who, as acting officials, covered those functions since March. His department did not respond to "Vijesta" on the basis of which regulation the directors were appointed and why no public competition was announced.
The law on health care is clear - the director of a health institution, founded by the state, is appointed and dismissed by the minister on the basis of a public competition.
"In the event of termination of the mandate of the director of a health institution, the competent authority for appointing the director may appoint an acting director until the appointment of the director in accordance with the law, and for a maximum of six months", Article 74 of this law states.
The mandate of the directors of 24 health institutions - health centers and general hospitals expired at the beginning of March, but the Ministry of Health then ordered all those who had announced the competition to withdraw it.
Soon, a new competition was announced, which lasted 15 days, but the candidates were not selected. The directors remained acting until the beginning of March, when they were elected for four-year terms, without announcing a new competition.
Competitions were announced at the end of August only for the directors of "Montefarm" and the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance.
Suad Numanović, a member of the DPS in the last convocation of the Assembly, came to the position of Director of the Institute, which was covered by Saša Stefanović.
