The Spanish are again training pilots for "Bells"

The Ministry of Defense accepted the offer of the Spanish-Montenegrin consortium for the training of pilots on "Bell" helicopters, worth less than 150.000 euros.

If the contract is concluded, it will be the second time that this work is entrusted to the consortium consisting of the Spanish "Pegasus aviation" and the Montenegrin "Li commerce".

Last September, they got a training job for almost 110.000 euros.

The tender documents requested initial training for three pilots, which includes 36 hours of applied theory each, and six hours of flight each on the "Bell 412" and on the flight simulator.

Periodic simulator training is required for eight pilots, with practice of cooperation procedures within a multi-member crew. The training includes 10 flight hours on the simulator, two on the "Bell 412" and one week of applied theory for cooperation within a multi-member crew.

The place of execution of the contract is the bidder's school center and the "Knjaz Danilo" military airport in Podgorica for one week of applied theory for cooperation within a multi-member crew.

In its center, "Pegasus aviation" has four "Bell 412" helicopters and one flight simulator.

The training will be conducted by Spanish instructors.

The training must be completed within 90 days from the date of conclusion of the contract. The costs of travel and accommodation for the pilots are borne by the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro.

The theoretical foundations of the pilots of the Army of Montenegro, which are scheduled for initial training, are at a high level, said the department of Predrag Bošković in the clarification of the tender documentation. Pilots scheduled for initial training do not have flying experience on twin-engine helicopters, and eight scheduled for periodic refresher training have flying experience on "Bellovi 412".

Last year, the Ministry signed a contract worth 30 million euros, that is, a credit arrangement for the sale of three multi-purpose "Bellova 412" helicopters, two of which are new.

This year, the first of two "Bell 505" helicopters was delivered.
