The non-governmental association "Paths of Ancestors" from Nikšić organized the afforestation of Trebjesa, and on that occasion they planted over 500 seedlings. In addition to the members of the aforementioned NGO, volunteers from "Alfa Center", the Forestry Administration, journalists, "Media Team" and citizens also took part in the action.

Assistant on the project, Radule Cerović, said that they will try to animate as many young people as possible to participate in the clearing and cleaning of the Trebjesa forest park.

In addition to afforestation and landscaping actions, the NGO "Paths of the Ancestors" will also organize educational eco-workshops for preschool children, forums for citizens on forest fire protection, distribution of promotional material and info manuals.

"By implementing this project through the 'Save our forests' campaign, as part of which we will animate as many citizens as possible, we will do our best to make a maximum contribution to the National Strategy of Sustainable Forest Management, the importance of their preservation and protection from forest fires," Petrović said.

The project, which lasts eight months, is financially supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with 7.976 euros.
