The Association of Lawyers of Montenegro, the Union of Employers (UPCG) and the non-governmental organization (NGO) LGBTIQ Social Center congratulated the President of the Assembly Aleksa Bečić on his election to the post.
The President of the Association of Lawyers, Branislav Radulović, wished Bečić that the period of his chairmanship of the legislative chamber would be marked by dialogue, cooperation, increased control function of the parliament and reaching an agreement regarding the selection of the most important positions in the judicial system and the prosecution.
"In this effort, you will have a sincere and reliable partner in the Association of Lawyers, especially since it is a professional association founded in 1933, which for its 87 years of existence has always been dedicated to building and preserving the fundamental values of Montenegrin society," the congratulatory message states.
As stated by Radulović, the Association of Lawyers is ready to respond to the call of Bečić and the working bodies to contribute to the work of the Assembly in the spirit of dialogue and the need for wider social understanding, at the expert and professional level.
In the congratulatory message, the intention of the Association was to prioritize topics from the corpus of negotiation chapters 23 and 24 in the focus of the social dialogue, in order to achieve the European agenda of Montenegro.
"As well as the question of the responsibility of the institutions of the system, which, through professional and responsible work, should be the bearers of the achievement of that goal," the congratulatory message states.
UPCG President Predrag Mitrović also congratulated Bečić on his election to the post of Parliament Speaker, stating that the economic recovery of the country and the preservation of public health represent the national interest.
"We believe that your arrival at the head of the highest house of representatives will be particularly significant not only for the fulfillment of that task, but also for the overall action that is in the service of improving the social dialogue, strengthening the competitiveness of the economy and the successful completion of the EU integration process of Montenegro," the congratulatory message states. .
Director of the NGO LGBTIQ Social Center, Milica Špajak, stated that she hopes that the work of the Assembly during Bečić's mandate will be distinguished by the spirit of democracy, appreciation and respect for human rights.
"We look forward to the continuation and deepening of cooperation with the Assembly, which we are convinced will be of high quality and based on open dialogue and effective resolution of all problems and obstacles that exist in the lives of the LGBTIQ community," the congratulatory message states.
