Two smaller earthquakes hit the area near Plavo last night and this morning.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 2,9 on the Richter scale was registered 35 minutes after midnight, 11 kilometers northwest of Plav.
"Based on the numerical model of the change in intensity with distance in this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral area," said the Institute.
A slightly smaller one, of 2,7 on the Richter scale, happened last night around 23:30 p.m. That earthquake was registered 58 kilometers northeast of Podgorica.
Citizens of Plav contacted "Vijesti", worried about the earthquake.
Earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale shook Montenegro on January 4, and the epicenter was precisely in Plav.
