The current director of "Montefarm", Radoman Dragaš, has been appointed for the second time as the manager of that pharmacy institution, "Vijesti" has learned.

He was appointed to that position by the outgoing Minister of Health, Kenan Hrapović, for a period of four years.

Yesterday, Hrapović did not answer who he chose as the director of "Montefarm", according to a public competition from the end of August, but also who will perform the function of the director of the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance.

Even though he was allegedly thinking of giving up his new position, former DPS MP Suad Numanović still did not resign from the position of director of the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance, according to "Vijesti" sources.

According to unofficial information, Dragaš, authorized internal auditor at "Montefarm" Atina Vuksanović and specialist in general and vascular surgery Goran Batrićević applied for the competition for the director of "Montefarm". The requirements for the manager were that he was a pharmacist, doctor of medicine, economist or lawyer, with five years of work experience. The monthly salary of the director of "Montefarm", as written in the competition, amounts to 950 euros. The deadline for the election of a new director expired on October 10, and it is not known when Hrapović appointed Dragaš.

At the beginning of September, the Minister of Health Hrapović (Social Democrats) chose as directors the heads of institutions who, as acting officials, covered those functions since March. His department did not respond to "Vijesta" on the basis of which regulation the directors were appointed and why no public competition was announced. The law on health care is clear - the director of a health institution, founded by the state, is appointed and dismissed by the minister on the basis of a public competition. "In the event of termination of the mandate of the director of a health institution, the competent authority for appointing the director may appoint an acting director until the appointment of the director in accordance with the law, and for a maximum of six months", Article 74 of this law states.

The mandate of the directors of 24 health institutions - health centers and general hospitals expired at the beginning of March, but the Ministry of Health then ordered all those who had announced the competition to withdraw it.

Soon, a new competition was announced, which lasted 15 days, but the candidates were not selected. The directors remained acting until the beginning of September, when they were elected for four-year terms, without announcing a new competition.
