The commission for damage assessment from natural disasters received 3,5 thousand requests for damage assessment from the earthquake, announced the minister without portfolio, Marija Vučinović, and added that it is not realistic that everyone expects help from the state.
During today's visit to the municipalities of Plav, Gusinje, Andrijevica and Berane, which suffered the most damage in the earthquake that hit the country on January 4, she said that the Commission will review the requests received from those cities.
"The commission will see if it is realistic that the 3,5 thousand requests that have been received will be processed and if everyone will be compensated," said Vučinović, who is the president of the commission.
As reported by the Government's Public Relations Service, she said that, taking into account the findings, it is not realistic that the damage was done to so many households and that it is unrealistic that everyone expects help from the state.
According to her, after today's meetings, further action on this issue will be defined. Vučinović reminded that the government allocated EUR 190 for remediation of the most urgent consequences of the earthquake. "These funds are intended for the most vulnerable households," concluded Vučinović.
