The Torch Beach Club, a concrete structure on Slovenska Beach itself, right next to Villa Manojlović, must be removed, and in its place a landscaped park and a large green area for rest and recreation.
This was announced for "Vijesti" by the Budva committee of the Democrats, who will insist on the removal of all the tycoon combinations of the DPS that were made in the tourist metropolis a decade ago, devastating the most beautiful part of the city.
"According to their program commitments, the Democrats will strongly insist on increasing green areas and returning space to citizens. As a new green belt, we detected the area next to Villa Manojlović, where there is an exceptional potential for children's and pensioner facilities that would be at the service of the citizens of Budva and their guests throughout the year. It will be a discontinuity with the previous policy of JP "Morsko dobro", which was a service for the wishes of the DPS tycoon from Podgorica. "We are continuing the trend of erasing temporary locations in the area from the Adriatic Fair to Zavala," announced the Democrats.
The Democrats of Budva will also initiate the procedure for issuing usage permits for the old town hotel "Astoria", as well as for the hotel "Poseidon" on the Jaz.
They will ask for a detailed examination of the complete documentation, who signed all the permits for the construction of these two hotels, how the inspection, as well as the relevant ministry, and the authorities in the Municipality of Budva, when the city was managed by DPS, behaved.
The beach bar was built five years ago, and the current ruling parties, who then sat in the opposition benches, accused that the construction of a concrete building on sea foam was the business of Marko Gvozdenović, the son of the then minister of sustainable development and tourism, Branimir Gvozdenović. The elder Gvozdenović and even the company Torch Platforms Montenegro, which manages the club, have repeatedly pointed out that Marko Gvozdenović does not have a share in their company, but this did not convince the public. During the time when Gvozdenović was in charge of MORT, and thus was in charge of JP "Morsko dobro", a temporary facility was drawn on the former green area, which was included in the Marine Dobro Zone Plan.
Torch platforms Montenegro, as written in the Central Register of Business Entities, was founded by the company Torch platforms limited based in London. The executive director is Milić Popović, while one of his deputies is Jones Powell William David, who is also an authorized representative of the company Safiro beach resort, which manages an eight thousand square meter plot of land that is separated from the Torch bar by a promenade and is located in front of the Adriatic Fair. Businessman Duško Knežević pointed out on several occasions that Milo Đukanović and Gvozdenović are behind this company and that they stole his land.

In the summer of 2015, the public company for the management of marine resources issued a construction permit to the Budva company Torch platforms Montenegro for the construction of the so-called temporary prefabricated building "Torch Budva" on municipal and state land, next to Slovenska beach itself, between the upper and lower promenades next to Villa Manojlović
"We point out and emphasize that the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism for the location in question previously issued a special Elaboration of the location 2013 in May 8.3. within the framework of the Plan of temporary facilities in the zone of maritime property for the period 2013-2015. which is contained in the same form in the Amendments and Supplements to the Plan in October 2014. Therefore, the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism is responsible for the planning of this temporary facility and its contents", it was explained to the "News" in "Morski Dobr" at the time, when asked who allowed to concrete the green area, because temporary buildings cannot be built of solid material.
The British company Torč Platforms UK Ltd came forward in the same year, when the tenants of certain beaches accused the younger Gvozdenović of being behind the company and that they could not rent the swimming pool, but it was reserved for the minister's son. The British company then announced that it is the sole owner of the temporary Torch Beach Club facility.
"In order to fully and truthfully inform the Montenegrin public, we are addressing you as the owners of the Torč Platforms Montenegro company, which is the sole and exclusive owner of the temporary facility Torč beach club, placed on the part of Slovenska plaža in Budva, in accordance with all necessary permits, valid urban planning and technical under the conditions provided by the Plan for temporary facilities in the Budva maritime zone, about which we have repeatedly informed interested public opinion", he stated at the time in a response signed by David Jones Powell on behalf of the British company.
Torč Platforms Montenegro doo is, as it is added, a subsidiary of Torč Platforms UK Ltd, a company headquartered in London with 1.281.692% British capital. They announced that they invested XNUMX euros in the Torch Beach Club project.
