The vaccine against the seasonal flu has arrived, the distribution began today, and when the vaccination will start will be determined by the health centers themselves, it was announced today from the Health Institution of the Montefarm Pharmacy of Montenegro.
They said that they addressed the public because of "the current epidemiological situation in Montenegro, which additionally caused great public interest in the delivery date of the seasonal flu vaccine."
"The four-valent VaxigripTetra vaccine manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur-France in the amount of 31.000 doses was delivered to the warehouse of the Montefarm Health Institution of the Pharmacy of Montenegro. After fulfilling all strictly controlled and legally regulated requirements when it comes to vaccines, Montefarm today began distributing this vaccine to the public health institutions where vaccination is carried out according to the following schedule:
-Tuesday, i.e. today, the municipalities of Podgorica and Bar
- Wednesday: Nikšič, Danilovgrad and all municipalities in the northern region
-Thursday: Cetinje and municipalities in the southern region
"Based on the assessment of the Institute for Public Health, the planned and delivered number of doses for the current year has increased by almost 40% compared to last year," Montefarma said in a statement.
They said that the vaccines will be distributed to all public health institutions in accordance with the planned quantities by them.
"Citizens can ask their chosen doctors when and where they can receive the vaccine," Montefarma's announcement concludes.
