The church committee at the temple of Saint Demetrius in Kolašin declared Sunday, November 1, a day of mourning in that city, on the occasion of the death of Metropolitan Amfilohi of the Montenegrin littoral.

"Dear citizens and fellow citizens of the municipality and city of Kolašin, on the occasion of the death of our highly reverend archpastor and metropolitan Amfilohoj, who was born in Donja Morača, in the town of Bare, we, the Church Committee at the Temple of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius and the Glory of the City of Kolašin, announce on the First of November in on the twenty-first Sunday of the Spirits, the day of mourning for our archpastor and spiritual leader of the faithful people of Montenegro, and more widely for the entire Universe in which the Name of God is glorified, that worthy and as befits people who are capable of bravery and heroism, what kind of spiritual leader he was, let us gently and prayerfully send off his apostolic image, which is equal to the image of Saint Peter of Cetinje. Not losing our spiritual joy in grief, we believe that even in these difficult times we have received another prayer book before God, equal to the prayer books of the holy Serbian hierarchs that we have in heaven. May God have mercy on us even in these difficult days, with their prayers, in joining the prayers of our newly introduced archpastor Father Amfilohi, and in the days of the Terrible Judgment, may he know us as his own and receive us into the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen God grant"
