Joanikije of Episkogo Budimlja-Nikšići greeted the leaders of the new government and metropolitans from Ukraine and Albania.
"That cry will turn into joy, because he was a biblical man, a man of persevering deep prayer," said Joanikije.
He said that Metropolitan Amfilochia was "a man of Christ's Golgotha and Christ's Resurrection".
He said that the metropolitan "fought the war" with truth, justice and love, and that his death sealed all his previous victories.
He also said that the arrival of a large number of important personalities, people and clergy to Amfilohi's funeral under difficult conditions is a great event equal to the great grief that befell Montenegro.
During the prayer procession, as Joanikije said, the coffin will be taken to Amfilochius' eternal resting place.
Writer and academician Matija Bećković said that Amfilohije was born on Christmas Day and was named Risto.
"Our people call Jesus Risto," said Bećković.
He said that great people are only magnified by death.
"Today begins the new, eternal life of Amfilohi Radović. If God had called him earlier, it wouldn't have worked," said Bećković.
Bećković said that the metropolitan was wearing a faded mantle, and inside he was "luxuriously dressed".
He said that the metropolitan was not a man but a "universal man":
"He grafted and ennobled a barren country by begging Montenegro to return to its face," said Bećković.
He said that King Alexander and Patriarch Paul had this kind of funeral.
Bećković called Amfilohi "Morački clairvoyant".

"In his honor, that night I asked the smartest people, the Montenegrins from Montenegro, whether reconciliation is possible - they told me, there are only nuances to reconciliation. I was overjoyed, almost like when Nemanja was born to me," Davidović said. and concluded: "Send them a 'mountain of power' and say that this 'plague of ours' which is worse than a million crowns will finally end."
Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Irinej said that the metropolitan is where "we will all be one day".
He said that when the metropolitan came to office, he welcomed a people alienated from religion, empty monasteries without monks...
"With the help of God, he weeded the weeds in the Lord's field, restoring what was abandoned," said Irinej.
He pointed out that Amfilohije is at the top of Serbian theology of our time.
"With his death, he leaves a void, especially for the solution of the problems of the church here in Montenegro," said Irinej.
He said that what Amfilohije carried in his heart and left as a bequest - love for Kosovo and Metohija and to restore the chapel on Lovcen.
Irinej also said that Amfilochius "defended the holy places" and was "the initiator of spiritual and all renewals in Montenegro". He said that Amphilochius belongs to "the pleiad of top theologians of our time".
He said that the death of Amfilohi leaves a big void in the life of the Serbian Orthodox Church, especially in the solution of its problems.
"He left at the moment when he was most needed by the church and the people".

Bishop Irinej of Bačka said that in addition to the sadness of parting, "our joy is greater, because we know that parting is temporary".
He said that it was not by chance but by the providence of God that the metropolitan passed away on the eve of the feast of St. Peter of Cetinje and that today he surrenders to the earth on the day of Christ's resurrection, because every Sunday is the day of Christ's resurrection.
The bishop said that Metropolitan Amfilohije accepted Christ with all his heart as a boy from Morača already in his childhood, which was an exception at the time of impiety.
He said that it is not true that the metropolitan died of a virus, but that he was the winner of that virus for 11 days, "but his body and physical weakness could not withstand that temptation".
Irenaeus said that Amphilochius' life motto was "All for Christ, and nothing for Christ."
He said that by talking about the metropolitan in this way, he did not want to create a cult of personality, nor did Amfilohije aspire to that.
