When it comes to the method of accessing the Internet, that is, the types of Internet connection, most households, 80,2 percent of them, use a fixed broadband connection. 58,1 percent of households use a mobile broadband connection, while 6,7 percent use a narrowband connection.

Compared to last year, there was a five percent increase in the number of households using a mobile broadband connection.

The percentage of households that do not have access to the Internet at home is 19,2 percent. Compared to last year, the percentage of households that do not have access to the Internet at home decreased by 5,8 percent.

When it comes to the territorial representation of the Internet in households, it is the smallest in the north and amounts to 69,5 percent, while in the southern region it is the highest and amounts to 88,5 percent.

Internet access in non-urban-type settlements is 70,9 percent, while in urban-type settlements, Internet access is higher and amounts to 84,9 percent. Internet access at home in city-type settlements increased by 4,9 percent compared to last year.

The results of the research show that with the increase in income, the percentage of households with Internet access also increases.

Of the households with an income of 300 to 600 euros, 88,2 percent have access to the Internet at home, and a growth of 7,4 percent compared to last year was recorded.

Of the households with an income of over 600 euros, 98 percent have access to the Internet at home. The results of the research show that the percentage of households with an income of over 600 euros that own a computer has increased by one percent compared to last year.

The research showed that in the last three months, 77,6 percent of the surveyed individuals used the Internet, 89 percent of them every day or almost every day, while 9,7 percent of them used the Internet at least once a week.

The activities that the respondents most often undertook via the Internet for private purposes in the last three months were Internet phone calls/video chats 94,5 percent, use of social networks 86,8 percent, while 78,4 percent said they read or downloaded online newspapers or magazines.
