Hepatitis B vaccine for children has arrived

The vaccine against hepatitis B for children, which is included in the card of mandatory immunization of children, has arrived at the Montefarma warehouse and today its distribution to all health centers where children are vaccinated has begun, the health institution announced.

Montefarm points out that the distribution of that vaccine began only after all the strict legal procedures that guarantee their safe use were completed.

"A vaccine was imported under the trade name Engerix B, produced by GlaxoSmithKline-London, the only manufacturer of hepatitis B vaccine in Europe," Montefarma said.

During this working week, parents can contact their chosen pediatrician and schedule the necessary vaccinations, the announcement concludes.
