The Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology registered today a minor earthquake with an epicenter eight kilometers west of Plav.
The earthquake was registered at 11:21 a.m.
The strength of the earthquake in the focal point was 2,7 units on the Richter scale, which corresponds to an epicentral intensity of four to five degrees on the Mercalli scale.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of ten kilometers.
"Based on the numerical model of the change in intensity with distance in this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, the earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral area," the statement said.
