Soldiers who visited the guards of Sinjajevina against the training ground: "Even nature is sacred"

The guards of Sinjajevina were visited today on Margita by members of the Army of Montenegro (VCG), who do not support the decision to establish a military training ground on that mountain.

The Citizens' Initiative (GI) Save Sinjajevina announced that members of the VCG came to visit as citizens.

"Otherwise, these are people who supported the defense of the holy places, and now they are here at the bumper of nature, which is also a sacred place in Montenegro. Senior Sergeant First Class Davor Bakić said that he and his colleagues came to support their people in protecting nature He pointed out that the army is not the enemy of the people, just as the people who protect and guard Sinjajevina from the military training ground are not the enemy of the Army of Montenegro. He pointed out that as a soldier he took an oath to defend the people and the country, and that he will not go against his oath. He believes that the people who support the destruction of Sinjajevina have been manipulated," said the GI.

Bakić said that with him on Margita are the active head of the Army of Montenegro Miroslav Mališić, Nebojša Bajović, a civilian - operator at the shooting range and retired Major Nenad Vujadinović.

"The goal of our arrival today was primarily to prove and show you that you are not alone in this story and that you are not against us as against the army and that the army is not against you as our people. We will be here together to preserve the mountain. These people together with me they belong to a Viber group called "Army Defends the Holy Places", that Viber group was created at the very beginning of the liturgy and defense of our sanctuaries", said Bakić, explaining that they are representatives of the Union of Defense and the Army of Montenegro.
