The mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, with his associates, today visited the completed works on the reconstruction of Miloja Pavlović Street in Gornja Gorica.

On that occasion, he pointed out, as reported, that despite the numerous challenges brought by the coronavirus pandemic, the capital is a "financially stable system that, even this year, manages to implement development plans even beyond expectations."

"This is best illustrated by the fact that today we implemented a capital budget in the amount of over 32 million euros, which is even 50% more than at the same time last year, and thanks to that, today in Gornja Gorica, we brought to an end the realization of another valuable investment , that is, fundamental reconstruction of the most important road in this settlement, which is Miloja Pavlović Street, the reconstruction of which began back in 2008, when the first phase was completed," Vuković pointed out.

He announced that the Capital invested about 1.6 million euros in the reconstruction of Miloj Pavlović Street and its side branches this year.

"This year, we managed to complete the second and third phases with a length of 1,5 km, thus realizing an investment worth approx. 1.300.000 euros, and at the same time, we are also bringing to an end the works on the reconstruction of three side arms worth 230.000 euros, so that we will at the end of this year, we will be able to state that we have invested almost 2020 euros in this segment of infrastructure improvement in Gornja Gorica in 1.600.000 alone, which is something to be proud of, and I have no doubt that our feelings are shared by the people who live here." emphasized Vuković.

The mayor, as it was announced, pointed out that the crown of efforts to improve the quality of infrastructure in that part of the city also refers to the project of building a new boulevard that will connect the roundabout at the intersection of Cetinje and Nikšić roads with Komanski most, i.e., the place from where the boulevard will continue towards Danilovgrad, which is already intensively being built.

"The process of expropriation is ongoing, and the capital has spent half a million euros so far, and if we continue at that pace with the understanding of the citizens and the consent to start the implementation of this multi-million dollar investment, we could expect to perhaps get a new boulevard by the end of next year in Gornja Gorica and thus complete the story of the improvement of infrastructure in this part of the city", concluded Vuković.

The mayor thanked the citizens for their patience and understanding during the execution of the works, stressing that, as stated in the announcement, the Capital City "returned it to them in the best way because this valuable work was completed within the stipulated time", as well as the contractor Gradnja promet and the Agency for the construction and development of Podgorica.

The Director of the Agency for Construction and Development of Podgorica, Srđan Raičević, expressed his gratitude to the residents of Gornja Gorica for the patience they showed during the construction, as well as for the correct cooperation during the execution of the works.

"I will remind you that in February we completed a part of this road up to the intersection of Kragujevacka and Miloja Pavlović Street worth 380.000 euros, and then we promised the residents of this part of the city that we would complete the complete reconstruction in the current year and connect Cetinjski Boulevard with Nikšićki Road by the end of this year. "Works on this road began on May 25 and were completed within the agreed time," announced Raičević. He pointed out, as reported, that certain information regarding the delay in the completion of works on this road "is absolutely incorrect, because Miloja Pavlović Street was completed as planned."

Raičević emphasized that the road is 1.100 meters long, worth 910.000 euros, with complete infrastructure - hot water installations, atmospheric, fecal sewage and public lighting.
