The finished fire protection and rescue plan for the special nature reserve "Tivatska Solila"

The public company for the management of the marine asset prepared the Fire Protection and Rescue Plan for the special nature reserve "Tivatska Solila" with the approval of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Directorate for Emergency Situations of the Government of Montenegro.

"The plan was prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Protection of Nature, the Law on Protection and Rescue, as well as on the basis of the Municipal Fire Protection and Rescue Plan in the territory of the municipality of Tivat. As part of the analysis of the possibility of the occurrence and spread of fire in the special nature reserve "Tivatska Solila", the possibility of rapid spread of fire, disappearance of food sources and habitats for birds and other animals, as well as a large amount of combustion products was observed. Considering that the entire area of ​​the reserve is covered with low vegetation, there is a high risk of fire, however, the positive side is the natural obstacles that represent a control and safe line of fire protection", announced the Marine Reserve.

According to this Plan, the dynamics of the implementation of activities and the provision of resources for fire protection and rescue were given by this Plan, and a Training Manual for workers of the Public Enterprise for the Management of Marine Assets in Protection and Rescue was prepared, and the formation of an evacuation team, a fire-fighting team and of the rehabilitation team.

"Also, the Plan provides for the installation of three above-ground hydrants within the reserve and the construction of a fire corridor, which the Public Enterprise for the Management of Marine Assets plans to implement during 2021. The creation and implementation of the Fire Protection and Rescue Plan for the Solila Nature Reserve is necessary in order to achieve preservation of rare, rare and endangered plant and animal species, primarily ornithofauna and plant communities that live in this reserve", the public company concludes.
