The Parliament of Montenegro will be available for all initiatives aimed at intensifying cooperation and strengthening the position of young people in the region, said Parliament Speaker Aleksa Bečić.
In a conversation with the head of the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation (RYCO), Edin Koljenović, he emphasized the importance of engagement and connection of youth organizations in regional frameworks.
Bečić expressed his willingness to contribute to the improvement of youth policies in the new parliamentary convocation.
"The Assembly of Montenegro should be available for all initiatives aimed at intensifying cooperation and strengthening the position of young people in the region," he said.
Koljenović introduced the President of the Assembly to the current projects and future plans of this organization, which implements projects for young people with the aim of connecting them and exchanging experiences.
"They also discussed cooperation mechanisms for connecting the youth of the Western Balkans in order to improve their cooperation, but also to strengthen youth policy at the national level," the announcement says.
RYCO was founded in 2016 at the sixth summit of the Western Balkan countries in Paris as an independent institutional mechanism to promote the spirit of reconciliation and cooperation among young people in the region through exchange programs.
