The Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) received amended criminal charges against the commander of the Capital City Protection and Rescue Service, Goran Janković, on suspicion of abusing his official position.
This was confirmed by the state prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Podgorica, Vukas Radonjić, who said that two reports were filed against the commander in November and December and their additions.
"Which were received and submitted to the Special State Prosecutor's Office as the one in charge," said Radonjić.
As "Vijesti" learns, the report against him was filed because of the drone case and "alleged abuse of the resources of that Service, because furniture was made in the workshops for the needs of the ethnic village in Brskut, of which he is one of the owners."
In November, the ODT forwarded the criminal complaint against Janković to the prosecutor's office headed by Milivoje Katnić, as "Vijesti" reported, also for allegedly abusing his official position during the implementation of the tender for the repair of fire trucks.
According to the knowledge of "Vijesti", some employees of Janković's service gave statements about the drone.
Janković told "Vijesta" that it was about "foolishness and things that have become derogatory" and confirmed that the prosecution had contacted him.
He said that all the documentation has been submitted to the prosecution, that in addition to him, several of his employees have been reported.
"You see it's all nonsense. Absolutely all documentation has been submitted, you can check it at the prosecutor's office. I think the applications for what you called me before have been rejected, I'm waiting for the official. As for the furniture, I don't know what it is about, I donated to the boys so that they have somewhere to sit, they have a couple of sets", said Janković.
He said that "they have identified the individuals who do this and that they will definitely react to him as a collective, because these are all "false reports".
"We have identified individuals who submit false reports in order to damage the reputation of the service and express their dissatisfaction because the service is definitely achieving results and interpersonal relations have taken an upward path," Janković said.
The aircraft, which was donated by the Customs Administration to the Municipal Police of Podgorica in 2018, is in the Protection and Rescue Service, and Janković previously told "Vijesta" that it was listed in the documents of the warehouse, and that the Municipal Police lent it to the firefighters.
"It is the property of the Capital City, as we give vehicles to other services, so the drone was given to us. We used it this summer," Janković said.
He stated that "the drone is paperwork in the Municipal Police".
However, the Communal Police informed "Vijesta" that this service of the Capital City does not have any information regarding the aircraft.
"For the reason that this special service of the Capital City is not in possession of an unmanned aerial vehicle - a drone, model Q500 Typhon from 2018, nor does it have documentation related to the possible transfer of the same by the Customs Administration of Montenegro", it is stated in the answers of the Municipal Service, which is managed by Miloš Novović.
As "Vijesti" wrote in June, the drone that was donated to the Communal Police of the Capital City ended up in the Protection and Rescue Service, because he took it with him.
Janković, moving from the utility to the fire service.
He was the chief of the Municipal Police until the beginning of 2019, after which he was appointed commander of the Protection and Rescue Service.
