Vučković: Awards from colleagues and close associates have a special meaning

When awards are given by colleagues and close associates, then they certainly have a special meaning, said prof. Dr. Dijana Vučković, who this year received the Award from the University of Montenegro (UCG) for special contributions to the development of scientific research, professional and artistic work and the international positioning of UCG.

UCG announced that Vučković received the recognition on the proposal of the Council of the Faculty of Philosophy addressed to the rector of the University, Danilo Nikolić.

"Professor Vučković, associate professor and vice-dean for teaching at the Faculty of Philosophy of the UCG, has shown a high degree of engagement in the work of her Faculty. She is the author of three papers that can be found in SSCI/A&HCI and Scopus journals and chapters in a book published by an international publisher. She participated is in four international projects during 2020, as well as in one national scientific project," the announcement states.

UCG added that, speaking about the successes achieved this year, Vučković singled out the conference on academic integrity, which was organized by the European Network for Academic Integrity in cooperation with several universities, at the end of April 2020, in Dubai.

"The scientific committee of the conference awarded the research of which I am the lead author the award for the best paper. That award brought me particular satisfaction, because it came from scientists who have been dealing with academic integrity for a long time and studiously. The methodology applied in the work was recognized as original , interesting and applicable to other topics and areas of research," said Vučković.

The press release states that she is currently working on the realization of the national scientific research project Strengthening academic integrity.

"The new project, of which he is the coordinator, was positively evaluated at this year's competition of the Ministry of Science. He is working on several more empirical studies independently or with colleagues," said the UCG.

The announcement also states that Vučković generally plans to continue working intensively with the expectation that the results will be scientifically interesting and practically applicable.

"I am glad that those who know our work well and who are familiar with the months and years we invest in research, in projects and other activities - recognize the quality of that work and notice the effort we put in. In this sense, this award has special value. I am very pleased that my colleagues proposed and chose me. I recognize this type of reward as a way of motivating that UCG invests in employed teachers and associates," said Vučković.
