Terrible landslide in Ulcinj, Bogojević: I thought I would stay there

I saw a large flagpole on the left, as if in slow motion, carried by some invisible force, falling onto the street in front of my car. There was a muffled rumble, I froze and turned the steering wheel to the right... The next thing I remember was huge amounts of dirt all around me, rocks and stones, chaos in which I have no control over the car or my own life.

Thus, Nadica Dimitrijević had a close encounter with a landslide in the Pinješ neighborhood yesterday around 10.30:XNUMX a.m., when part of the hill collapsed onto the new road leading through the neighborhood and buried both lanes.

The "Fiat" car with Ulcinj registration was wrecked, and Dimitrijević was sent to the Bar hospital for further examination after being examined at the Ulcinj Health Center. There were no victims in the terrible landslide only due to circumstances.

Three people who were in two moving cars on the road at that moment were seconds away from a tragedy.

The head of the protection and rescue service, Saubih Mehmeti, said that the drivers of both cars told him that there was no one else on the road but them.

"In the beginning, we didn't know if the landslide buried a car, it was scary... I told the director of the directorate, we are waiting for a special team, because we can't start cleaning ourselves. You can see for yourself, the hill is still hanging and we are afraid of another landslide", Mehmeti told Vijesta.

In addition to Dimitrijević, Gojko Bogojević from Ulcinj and Aleksandra Božović from Bar were also witnesses of the terrible landslide, who miraculously escaped alive.

The "Citroen" with bar markings, driven by Božović, was completely buried and destroyed.

"I got out of the car, but it took me a long time to get Gojko out of the passenger seat. I'm still in shock," Božović told Vijestima.

Together with Bogojević, she was waiting for examinations at the hospital in Bar.

“I thought I would stay there. That horror cannot be described," said Bogojević. Traffic on the new road through Pinješ was interrupted yesterday.
