Due to the growing interest of the public, Avioportal.me will try to provide all those interested with answers, clarifications and analyzes obtained from relevant institutions and professionals in the field of aviation, one of the editors of the new Montenegrin portal, Alen Pelinković, said in an interview with Magazin.
One of the main ambitions for the establishment of the first aviation portal in Montenegro is information and promotion of safety in aviation, as well as the development of all areas of air traffic.
"We will cover fresh news from airlines, follow the development of airports, the situation in flight controls around the world. There will be interesting information from aviation meteorology and medicine. Also, we will talk about aviation sports such as skydiving, paragliding, ballooning and model airplanes. The development of drones and a wide range of their use imposes itself as an indispensable topic and an announcement of some near future...", explained Nikola Cojić, also one of the editors of avioportala.me.
The editors of the portal pointed out that the very idea to engage in this work originated in the Association of Aviation Technical Personnel for the Safety of Air Navigation - ATSEPMONT 8 (Air Traffic Safety Electronic Personnel of Montenegro). The power to start that idea was given by the energy and support of an unexpectedly large number of airmen from different occupations. The entire team of avioportala.me is volunteer and consists of 30 professionals from the field of aviation.
"From the editorial staff to the correspondents, all are professionals in some segment of aviation and their engagement will depend on the specific topic at a given moment. Anyone who wants to deal with some topics in aviation in a completely voluntary but professional way is welcome and can expect all help and support from us. We want to transfer the huge positive energy that was triggered by the start of work on this portal to all citizens of good will", say Pelinković and Cojić.
Nikola Cojić explains that their idea is not of a commercial nature and will be based on two-way communication between professionals, members of the ATSEPMONT Association, as well as everyone interested in aviation.
"In aviation, procedures, technical or legal restrictions are often very closely related, and - as everywhere - the impact of economic justification can be decisive. Because of all these factors, sometimes for the best decision, it is only right to form a team of professionals who will first exchange opinions with each other. Our experiences in this matter are very positive and we are particularly pleased to be able to point out that, after such consultations, the team members who provided the answer are as satisfied as the one who asked the question", says Cojić.
Since recently, Avioportal has had an email from the editorial staff - avioportal@gmail.com, to which questions will be sent, and the answers will be available to everyone at AVIOPORTAL.me.
Pelinković and Cojić stated that they are no stranger to workshops for improving aviation knowledge. Currently, due to the epidemiological situation, they only plan online workshops, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner.
"As an example, we would cite the cooperation of the pilots of Montenegro Airlines with the Association of Air Traffic Controllers and our Association of Aviation and Technical Personnel for the Safety of Air Navigation. The goodwill and professionalism of all participants, as well as the support of the national airline management and SMATSA air traffic control, made it possible to gather representatives of these three aviation professions on several regular MA flights. In this way, it is possible for them to express their opinions from the point of view of their profession in concrete situations and reach high-quality conclusions, which also raises the quality of the work to a higher level", Alen Pelinković points out.
