Prava Montenegro will propose to submit a set of amendments to the law in the parliamentary procedure in order to fight for the improvement of the status of persons with disabilities in Montenegro, said the president of that party, Marko Milačić.
"It is known that people with disabilities are in a disadvantageous position, partly due to legal regulations, and to a much greater extent due to their poor implementation. This is precisely why we decided to invite representatives of organizations that deal with issues of people with disabilities, so that together, they could look at the key problems in that area in the best possible way," said Milacic.
According to the statement of Prava Montenegro, Milačić held a meeting with representatives of associations and organizations of persons with disabilities.
From this political party, they said that all those present expressed their satisfaction with the meeting, as well as their willingness to cooperate and contribute to the initiation of the mentioned procedure, and some also emphasized the importance of forming a Council under the Government of Montenegro for persons with disabilities.
"True Montenegro invites all organizations and individuals dealing with this issue to come forward in order to come up with the best solutions for the benefit of people with disabilities and the entire community," the announcement states.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Paralympic Committee of Montenegro, the Preventive Education Center, the Association of the Blind of Montenegro, the Association of Disabled Youth Nikšić, the Association of Paraplegics Podgorica, the Homer Cultural Center, the Library for the Blind of Montenegro, EKVIVALENT and Montabiliti travel
