At today's session, the government adopted a new strategy for scientific research, which aims to improve international cooperation, reduce the outflow of talent from Montenegro while building new generations of researchers, as well as financing projects that will focus on the technological recovery of Montenegro, Minister of Science Sanja pointed out. Damjanović in a statement to the media after the session.
"The first goal is the improvement of human resources and research capacities, and the key measure is the employment of young people, doctoral students at universities and in the economy. The goal is to introduce a fellowship that, in addition to salaries, will provide funds for work on research and innovative projects with an active component of internationalization. This will help reduce the outflow of talent, but also build a new generation of researchers," said Damjanović.
She added that another goal is to improve international cooperation and networking.
"Here I have to say that actually small developing countries like Montenegro have no other alternative. Here we have already started a new process of internationalization, by joining Montenegro to the largest international scientific institutions in which there are large multi-million dollar infrastructures and in which great knowledge and technology have been accumulated Our goal is to finance innovative scientific research projects, which will be directed towards large-scale development projects and truly aim at the technological progress of Montenegro," said Damjanović.
