The President and the Board of Directors of the Hunting Association of Montenegro are responsible for their work to the Assembly that elected them, and not to non-governmental organizations, citizen associations that "are founded by individuals to satisfy certain personal and group interests and goals with two or five members".
This was announced by the Hunting Association, after Aleksandar Perović from the Center for Research and Study of Birds (CZIP) in Berane invited the president and members of the Executive Board of the Hunting Association to resign, due to the killing of a bear in that municipality earlier this week.
"The president and members of the Board of Directors, as well as other management bodies, of the national association of hunters of the Hunting Association of Montenegro, which includes members: hunting societies, organizations and public enterprises for the breeding, protection and hunting of game - users of the hunting grounds, with about 5 thousand hunters , a full member of international organizations: CIC (World Council for Nature Conservation and Game Hunting) and FACE (Federation of National Associations of Hunters of the European Union), is elected and recalled by the highest governing body, the Assembly of the Hunting Association of Montenegro, which consists of authorized representatives of the members The President and the Board of Directors of the Hunting Association of Montenegro are responsible for their work to the Assembly that elected them, and not at all to non-governmental organizations, citizen associations founded by individuals to satisfy certain personal and group interests and goals with 2 or 5 members, to which Aleksandar also belongs Perović," the announcement states.
They said that the achievements of the Hunting Association led by the current leadership are best expressed by the awards for the sustainable development of game and nature, as well as the development of hunting.
"Instead of being grateful for the help to the Hunting Association of Montenegro and hunters, which was provided to him in previous years during the implementation of some of his projects, from which his NGO, we believe, has large revenues, he, in his forgetfulness and theatricality, attacks the leadership of the Hunting Association of Montenegro without argument asking for their resignation. The good deeds of some people like him are quickly forgotten, but let him be honored. It would be too long and too broad to write about the successes of the work of the Hunting Association of Montenegro led by this leadership whose resignation Perović is asking for. Let the many speak instead domestic and international awards received for the sustainable development of game and nature and the development of hunting. Finally, we want to point out that by demanding the ban on hunting as a cultural and historical heritage of the citizens of Montenegro, Perović and others like him from these NGOs unite even more hunters, as the true and only protectors and game breeders, in an effort to resist the injustice that they, for reasons known only to them, want to inflict on them," concluded the Hunting Association.
