She is happy that the traces of the hawk whose mother was killed on February 18 in Berane were found in the snow, and she is sad that the hawk that was found injured in Martinići on Saturday has died.

On the Bear in Mind Facebook page, it is stated that photo traps were set up in Berane on Saturday in order to find out where the match is headed, after it was left without its mother.

"We found traces in the snow that show his presence, and left food for him to find. This latest case of a bear being killed in Berane is just one in a series that confirms that in the field of hunting, until now, the issue of poaching, insufficient inspection capacity and the lack of harmonization of regulations governing the area, and ultimately resulted in the absence of the implementation of a criminal policy for perpetrators of crimes against nature," states the Bear in Mind Facebook page.

The Facebook page of the Center for the Protection and Study of Birds (CZIP) stated that the hawk had been shot.

"Which now brings us to the point that almost every day we have a case of poaching, which must be put to an end as a matter of urgency. A moratorium on hunting for a period of at least five years because it has to be," the CZIP states.

They thanked Dejan Krvavac, who took care of the bird for two days.

The CZIP warned that the situation in the field of hunting in Montenegro "can be described as alarming for a long time".

"To such an extent that the killing of non-huntable and even protected species has become our everyday life. It was the last events that broke the bank and became a call to the competent institutions to act radically and harshly as soon as possible in order to solve this problem," states the CZIP.

Recently, an owl, a large barn owl (Bubo bubo) was found near the Technical Faculty in Podgorica, which, as stated in the CZIP, was shot several times and died. due to the consequences of lead poisoning.
