Wanting to show that the preservation of the environment, the students of the Faculty of Visual Arts designed luminous animals that were placed near the tailings pond in Mojkovac, in the Biogradska gora National Park and in several other locations in the north of Montenegro.

As announced by FVU, the tailings dump was chosen as one of the most inspiring locations.

"Precisely due to the fact that until recently this area was one of the biggest ecological black holes in Montenegro, and in fact it represents an extremely attractive area that, by realizing various artistic interventions, it is possible to make it even more attractive and interesting for visitors. This topic is especially gaining importance due to the current transformation of this area into a tourist zone," the announcement states.

Students of the Faculty of Visual Arts point out that the idea was to emphasize animals from this area, such as bears, wolves and foxes, which were made of iron structures for this occasion.

"The digital time in which we live dictated the choice of LEDs, fluorescent colors, new technologies... in order to best present the contrast between natural beauty and the contamination that accompanies the modern, digital age. Combining the seemingly incompatible, positioning geometrical light installations in fantastic natural environment, the young artists wanted to point out major ecological problems and the necessity of preserving the environment".

Together with the professors, the students realized the land art attraction of painting in the snow, depicting geometric shapes that can be seen from the air.

The activities are implemented within the Multimedia Studio project, which is implemented by the Faculty of Visual Arts with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science.
