Spahić: Štrpci and other crimes are testimony to the horrors of nationalism and the large-state projects in the name of which they were committed

Štrpci and other crimes committed on the territory of Montenegro, and even more so throughout the great Yugoslavia, are testimony to the horrors of nationalism and big-state projects in the name of which these crimes were committed.

This was announced by Social Democratic Party (SDP) official Ervin Spahić on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the crime in Štrpci.

"The SDP, as a party that has been on the same political and value path for more than three decades, will never forget crimes and genocides, but even less the monstrous policies and criminal ideologies whose political rise at the end of the 80s of the last century was a prelude to the hell of wars and conflicts. We must not forget all that we have gone through as a society, because this is the only way that such things will never happen again, just as we must never underestimate the power of nationalism and large-state aspirations that have their continuity in these areas," it is stated in announcement of the SDP.

They add that as a society we must find the strength to face our own past.

"And let the innocent victims of Štrbac always be a warning and a reminder to do everything in building a society in which it will be the least important who belongs to which nation and religion and who prays to which God," Spahić concluded.
